Client Brief: To repair the Bow Thruster following a failure
Client Benefit: Vessel returned to an operational state very quickly
Scope of Work:
- Dismantle and check all mechanical damage
- Carry out an insulation, resistance and phase resistance test
- Detail, strip, rewind and test Stator
- Varnish, impregnate and stove
- Clean and reassemble with new bearings
- Run final checks and tests
- Pole check
- Fully assemble and paint, ready to return and re-install into vessel
Post Rewind:
- Run insulation resistance test at 2400V
- Run phase resistance test in Milliohms

- Quick turnaround
- Motor repaired successfully
- Job completed on budget
Summary:
Getting the vessel back to a fully operational state as quickly as possible, was a priority, to alleviate unnecessary costs to our client. This objective was achieved so overall, the job was a complete success
